There's an added variable when choosing a child mannequin. This is, that while the display needs to appeal to the kids, it also needs to sell their parents on the clothes too. It's likely that the kids will want to look different to the way their parents think they should look.

A mannequin can represent the whole body or merely parts of it, like a head, bust, hands, feet, legs, arms, or torso. It can be articulated or not. It can include details such as hair, facial expressions, fingernails and/or toenails or lack them.

The number one display that you can buy is the mannequin. These human forms have given a whole new meaning to merchandising.

Many of the same principles apply for children's retail stores as with every other store display, but it is good idea review those things and any differences in a children's retail environment.
